High Stakes Rescue
Logo & Brand Design
Erik was starting up his technical rescue training company and asked for a badass logo and brand. The logo had to instill credibility and approachability but lots of personality. Technical rescuers are a big badge and patch community so this was a great opportunity to create a full logo set to be used across company gear. Many logo options guaranteed nobody would get bored of seeing the same logo over and over again.
Erik mentioned that photos are always something he’s on the look out for when researching other companies in the technical rescue space, they’re a big part of the credibility, so we knew photos had to be key in our visuals. Thankfully the photos weren’t just the standard stock photos of people laughing around an office table.
The type choice is a nod to National Parks designs and logos over the course of history. The mountains convey the natural environment where the majority of High Stakes Rescue's work takes place. The addition of the card suits transform the mountains into playing cards, referencing the high stakes of gambling. This combination of imagery uniquely grasps High Stakes Rescue's mission into an applicable badge logo.
