Onvo Website Redesign

The goal for this site redesign was to continue the evolution of the modern and playful design already established throughout the various locations, and bring that energy into the site. We didn’t want to create something new, but rather show how the brand is growing. The client wanted to make sure we added some fun elements to the web design experience as well. We brought the playful energy of their mascot, Onvo the owl, and through “stickers” we created, incorporating some existing brand icons and product photos to help bring different elements into the hero when necessary.

The client requested a flexible system that allowed them to easily change the homepage hero content and promos as they change often. We created a variety of homepage hero layouts that could be easily updated with seasonal promotions and new partnerships. This flexible approach gave the client the ability to keep the homepage fresh while maintaining a consistent user experience. The Penn State football partnership is one example of how these hero variations could be adapted for timely campaigns.

We also added slight animation and hover effects to the stickers throughout the site. Those micro-interactions added the energy the client was looking for while still creating a site that could be easily edited and customized whenever necessary. We created 20+ reusable modules for flexible, scalable page creation along with up to 8 custom page templates to support diverse content types and future expansion. Through extensive competitive research we created a site that performs well and stands out among competitors.
